Who writes Loanify content
Loanify guides, calculators and loan pages are researched and written by the Loanify Editorial Team. Content is credited to the team as a whole rather than to individual authors.
Fact-checking
Every guide is checked a second time before publication. Pages that describe rates, fees or legal requirements are checked line by line against the governing rules and our current loan terms.
Sources we rely on
We prioritize primary sources: federal statutes and regulations (such as the Truth in Lending Act and Regulation Z, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and the Military Lending Act), guidance from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission, Federal Reserve research, and credit-scoring model documentation.
Math you can check
Every payment example on this site is calculated with the standard amortization formula and rounded to the nearest cent. We state the APR and term used for each example.
Honest about fit
We tell readers when a Loanify loan isn't the best option, and we point to lower-cost alternatives such as payment plans, credit union loans and nonprofit counseling where appropriate.
Updates and corrections
We review key pages at least quarterly and whenever laws or our products change. Each page shows its last-updated date. If you spot an error, contact Loanify support and mention "Correction" and we'll review it within five business days.
Not personal advice
Our guides are educational. For advice on your specific situation, consider speaking with a certified financial planner, a HUD-approved housing counselor or an NFCC-member credit counselor.
